hahas. the LIBRARY is a bad place to study, especially WOODLANDS.

He was known around the world for his croc-catching antics and dangerous stunts. But Monday, a shocking turn of events as a normally docile animal kills "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin.
44-year-old Steve Irwin was filming underwater off the coast of Australia when he was hit by a poisonous barb from a stingray while on a dive Monday morning. The barb went right through his heart, killing him almost instantly.
Irwin reached millions with his television programs and always advocated a peaceful co-existence between humans and wildlife.
Irwin was loved for dangerous stunts with animals, and occasionally criticized for them. He caused an uproar in 2004 when he fed a croc while holding his baby son.
Irwin's death comes as a surprise since he wrestled mostly with crocodiles. Friends say he died doing what he loved.
"He died doing what he loved doing and left this world in a happy and peaceful state of mind," says John Stainton, Irwin's producer and friend. "He would have said, 'crocs rule!'"
Stingray deaths are so rare there are not even statistics kept on them. Irwin leaves behind a wife and two young children.
Irwin's death while filming his popular show is raising some questions about the message his show portrayed to viewers.
Those who work with exotic and potentially dangerous animals say when the "Crocodile Hunter" pushed the limits of mother nature, it gave regular people the impression they could do the same.
Visitors of the Flag Acres Zoo Monday say, considering the number of times Irwin seemingly cheated death, the fact that he died while filming was not a surprise.
"I wouldn't say it's shocking considering what he was into, but (rather) the way he died because it was a docile animal that ended up killing him," says zoo visitor Lynn McKeon of Pittsfield. "You would think he would die from a crocodile or a snake."
Even one scuba instructor says when you disturb an animal's habitat, it is very likely that someone will get hurt.
